Crosshead Folding Bicycle Needs Your Support.

Crosshead has developed a cool folding bike. We love it when the wheels fold towards each other.  The frame looks extremely stiff (super important for any fold-up) and the components and accessories are top notch.
We can't wait for the test ride!
Please support their soon to be launched Kickstarter campaign.

After 8 years of design and development, Crosshead led by product designer & Managing Director Stuart Lambert is ready to launch their first performance driven, compact folding bike on the Crowdfunding platform Kickstarter, a folding bike equipped with great components with the ride and feel of a full sized bicycle. A great combination because folding bicycles make life easier and can expand your horizon when mixed with various transport systems.
The SF-1A with its 20 inch wheels and 10 speed gears is a
go anywhere tour de force; designed for pure enjoyment by the novice and enthusiast alike. The patented fold mechanism allows the Crosshead to fold down to 1/3 of its original size, making this folder easy to store, carry and a joy to use on both the smallest and most ambitious of journeys. The fold method is unique to Crosshead; easy to achieve once practiced a few times and folds in about 20 seconds. The principle is that both the front and rear wheels fold towards each other, ending up side-by-side with no unsightly catches.

Working from our factory in Kent, the team including Engineering consultant Alex Kalogroulis, manufacture and assemble bicycles by hand using materials and construction methods, which have been trialled and tested for quality and strength by both CEN testing and ride quality. It certainly appears that the Crosshead bicycle with its unique approach will be welcomed by both the novice and experienced cyclist requiring a folding bicycle.
